Jochen Kleimaier

Jochen Kleimaier is the founder of the Regensburg-based K&S group of companies.

 

K&S was the "first mover" for major photovoltaic projects in Germany. Back in 2001, the company's Markstetten site – the first multi-megawatt facility in the history of outdoor photovoltaic systems – went into operation.
In 2002, K+S also developed what at the time was the largest photovoltaic facility anywhere in the world.

1995 - 1999 

Assisting Ulrich Lenz in setting up the wind energy company Ostwind

1999

Establishes the company K&S Solarsysteme together with Ferdinand Schineis and Alfred Six 

1999 - 2009 

Managing Director and partner in the company K&S Solarsysteme

2006 

Merger with the Norwegian company Scatec

2009 

Sale of shares in the business to Scatec

2009 / 2010 

Various consultancy roles in the field of renewable energy at companies including the Sunpower Corporation

2011

Establishes the company New Energy for the World GmbH together with Terrafix Anlagenbau GmbH and SAR Elektronic GmbH. Initially a project developer, the company has been expanding its field of business and moving into system integration and general contracting since October 2011.
